Choosing your kudos channels

Add channels, pick the primary one, invite people, and remove channels you don't use.

Who can use this: Owners and admins, or anyone with the Integrations permission.

A kudos channel is a Slack channel where Pulsido posts public kudos. You can have several. One of them is the primary channel.

  • Public kudos from the web app post to the primary channel.
  • The weekly round, celebrations, and leaderboard posts run in the primary channel.
  • With more than one channel, /kudos in Slack shows a Post in menu so people can choose.

Add a channel#

  1. Go to Manage → Integrations.
  2. Under Kudos channels, start typing in Find a channel, or type a new name.
  3. Pick an existing channel, or type a new name to create one. The Pulsido bot joins the channel.

When you create a new channel, Pulsido offers to invite people straight away. You can click Skip for now.

Make a channel primary#

Open the ⋯ menu next to the channel and choose Make primary.

Invite people to a channel#

Click the invite icon next to a channel, pick people, and click Invite. They'll see public kudos and the weekly round there.

Remove a channel#

Open the ⋯ menu and choose Remove from Pulsido. Pulsido stops posting there. The channel and its messages stay in Slack.

Heads up: If Pulsido says it needs more permissions to create channels or invite people, click Reconnect on the Slack card. Slack will ask you to approve the extra permissions.
