Setting up Pulsido for your company

A checklist for the person rolling Pulsido out, in the order that works best.

Who can use this: Owners and admins.

You can have recognition running in under an hour. Do the first four steps before you invite anyone, so people land somewhere that already feels like your company.

1. Create your company#

Sign up at app.pulsido.com/signup and give your company a name. You become its Owner. See Creating your account and company.

2. Make the kudos types yours#

Pulsido starts you with ten kudos types, such as Thank you, Team player, and Customer love. Every kudos names one, so they work best when they match your company values.

Go to Manage → Recognition → Kudos types. Edit, archive, or add types until the list reads like your values. Keep it short; six to ten is plenty. See Setting up kudos types.

3. Decide how coins work#

Coins are on by default. Each person can give 100 coins a month, and nobody can give one person more than 50 coins a month. Change these under Manage → Recognition → Coins, or turn coins off if you only want words. See Coin allowance, resets, and limits.

If you use coins, put something in the store under Manage → Rewards → Store so people have a reason to save. Start with examples adds five ideas you can edit. See Adding rewards to the company store.

4. Connect Slack#

Go to Manage → Integrations and click Add to Slack. Then pick or create a kudos channel. Public kudos post there, and the weekly round runs there. See Connecting Pulsido to Slack.

5. Turn on the weekly round#

The round is a recurring ritual in your kudos channel: a kickoff, reminders, and a recap with an MVP. It's the single biggest driver of participation. It's off until you turn it on under Manage → Recognition → Weekly round. See Running the weekly round.

6. Optional extras#

Add these when you're ready. None of them are needed on day one.

7. Bring your team in#

Invite people from Manage → Members → Invite people, and send each person their link. If you've connected Slack, anyone in your workspace can also join by signing in with Slack. See Inviting your team.

8. Tell people#

Post a short note in Slack or email explaining what Pulsido is, how to join, and how to send the first kudos. There's a message you can copy in Sample launch message.

Then send a few kudos yourself in the first week. People copy what they see.
