How the round MVP is chosen

At the end of each round, the recap names an MVP. It's a draw, not simply the person with the most kudos, so the same people don't win every week.

The rules#

1. Everyone who received the most kudos that day goes into the draw. If several people tie, they all go in.
2. Everyone who gave the most kudos that day goes in too, with ties counted the same way.
3. Someone in both groups gets two chances.
4. Anyone who was MVP in the last 4 rounds sits out.
5. Anyone on the Never draw list sits out.

One name is drawn at random from what's left. The recap also lists the most recognized and most generous people by name; those aren't random.

Settings#

Under Manage → Recognition → Weekly round → MVP:

• Draw an MVP in the recap: on by default.
• MVP prize: coins for the MVP. They come from the company, not from anyone's allowance.
• Never draw: people who should never be picked, such as whoever runs the round.

The MVP gets a notification, and recent MVPs appear on the Leaderboard page.
