Using Pulsido in Microsoft Teams

Add the Pulsido app to a team, connect it, and give kudos and answer the pulse right in Teams.

Who can use this: Owners and admins, or anyone with the Integrations permission, to connect. Everyone, to use it. You also need permission to add custom apps in Teams, or help from your Teams admin.

With Microsoft Teams connected, Pulsido posts kudos, birthdays, work anniversaries, and the weekly round in a channel, and sends the pulse and replies to your feedback in a private chat. People can give kudos without leaving Teams.

Connect Teams#

  1. Go to Manage → Integrations and click Download the Teams app under Microsoft Teams.
  2. Upload the file to Teams. In the Teams admin center, go to Teams apps → Manage apps → Upload new app. If your organization lets people add custom apps, Teams → Apps → Manage your apps → Upload an app also works.
  3. Add Pulsido to a team. It posts a Connect to Pulsido card in the team's General channel.
  4. Click Connect to Pulsido while you're signed in to Pulsido, check the details, and click Connect.

Pulsido then matches people in the team to members by the email on their Teams account. Anyone it misses is matched the first time they message the bot.

One Teams organization connects to one Pulsido company.

Choose the channel#

Kudos post in the General channel to start with. To use another channel in the same team, pick it under Manage → Integrations → Microsoft Teams.

Give kudos in Teams#

Message the Pulsido bot kudos (or @mention it in a channel and type kudos). A form opens in your private chat with Pulsido: pick people, a value, write what they did, add coins if your company uses them, and choose whether it's private. Click Send kudos.

Public kudos post in the connected channel. Private ones go to the people involved in their private chats.

Answer the pulse in Teams#

When your company sends the pulse by chat, it arrives as a message from Pulsido: pick an answer for each question and click Send answers. To add a comment, click Add comments in Pulsido. You can also message the bot pulse any time to get today's questions.

Your answers are confidential, the same as in Pulsido. See How confidentiality works.

Notifications#

Replies to your feedback, and the notifications you've chosen under Account → Notifications (the Slack or Teams column), arrive in your private chat with Pulsido.

Disconnect#

Go to Manage → Integrations → Microsoft Teams → ⋯ → Disconnect, then remove the Pulsido app from the team in Teams. Kudos history stays in Pulsido.
